Mr Fusco drew the plans and designed the remodel for his clients. When he sent the cad drawings to the engineer because he needed a engineer's seal on only two items. The engineer sealed the entire set of plans. Guess they liked the engineering and architecture design work. Been at this a few decades.
First Phase:
This is a remodeling project where we removed the existing back wall of the house. Installed a new kitchen and added a sunroom and deck on the back of the addition. There we created a open concept to the existing livingroom.
Second Phase:
We removed the wall between the existing kitchen and existing livingroom for the open concept. Demolition of the existing kitchen and constructing a half bath and laundry where the existing kitchen was located. Plus added to the open concept with the area left from the old kitchen.
Before Pictures
This is the before picture please note the location of the bar this is the original back wall. We removed this wall.
Flipped this picture upright and the website turned it back upon loading. Experiencing technical difficulties please stand by. I may never fix it! Had this happen a few times. LOL!
Note the wall with the arch. That wall was removed. To the right you see the open concept with the laundry room. The edge of where the hardwood floor and the tile meet is where the arch wall was located. Beyond the hardwood floor was the kitchen before.
You can see the door and trimmed opening in the after picture column.
The old back wall of the house and the arch leading into the old kitchen.
You can see the back wall and deck that was removed. The new kitchen is where the old deck is at.
Note the old dog house type cover for the stairs it was dark and growing mold.
The End like happy endings call me.
After Pictures
Here is the new bar. we removed the back wall of the house. Note the existing bar in the back.
Pictures of the bar and wood work in the pictures coming up.
You can see a small part of the existing back wall to the right of the drink bar, not the eat in bar.
Mr Fusco prepared, sanded, finished the bar top personally and installed it. A hand picked piece of distressed maple. I will not go into the process to get the top to this level. Yes it is a smooth surface with all the temite holes and tunnels clear filled then finished. A lot of labor hours.
The live edge was very important to the clients and a clear finish with no amber finishes. The ends are live edges that were created the rest is exposed by carpentry and nature.
The surface is smooth so it can be wiped clean. This was a rough sawn piece of distressed maple. Lots of sand paper and time. I will not disclose the process online.
Look at the picture on the left. You can see on the right where we removed the back wall.
This is a 60 inch wolf range and a 66 inch rangehood. This is a commercial and residential range. It took 5 men to set the rangehood and six men to set the range.
Wellborne Cabinets. Windows have oak trim and alder wood for the window jambs and sashes.
Can you picture yourself sitting here eating and entertaining guests?
The edge of the wood floor is where the prior arch wall to the old kitchen was located. Laundry to the right and half bath door to the left.
You can see where we removed the kitchen wall back to the one corner. Very nice open concept. You can see the door and trimmed opening in the before pictures.
This china cabinet is in the back center to the left of the door. Unfortunately I was websited again; flipped it right back. This is the only thing left from the original kitchen. Painter did a nice job.
Hallway looking into living space.
Looking back into the hallway.
New Laundry Room where kitchen was located.
Shelves and work table Mr. Fusco built.
Half Bath where kitchen once was located.
Ok flipped this picture and the website flipped it back OMG!
Easy Breeze sunroom. New to the house lets work our way outside.
Let's go outside
We are outside on the new deck.
The entire house was reroofed, gutter and downspouts by Mark Gregory Roofing in Benson, NC 919-894-1089.
The addition starts where the brick stops.
We also had to have a septic repair completed to get a building permit.
The new stair hole cover allows more light and has a concrete shelf for storing items.
Like Happy Endings call me.
